Nothing ever changes. As Mao said, power comes out of the barerl of a gun. if the people dont arm themselves they are overrun. If they do arm themselves, or resist, they are exterminated. Theres a long list of indiginous peoples from every continent on earth who have faced, and been destroyed by, this challange throughout recorded history. Perhaps when the world is finally fully civilized this sort of thing will beome a distant memory, but I have given up hope that this will ever happen
