Most bloggers are quite young so they will selcet from those who they have watched in the last twenty years when the Toon had their best team in 1990s. The usual suspects crop upShearer, Ginola, Beardsley, Lee, Gascoigne etc. Many will not have heard of Tony Green who only played for the Toon for a couple of years in the early 70s when they had an average team. Just look at this blog and see how often the name Green gets mentioned by the older generation who will be outnumbered by the youngsters on this blog. That says everything about Green who would have been a legend alongside Shearer, Milburn and Gallagher but for injury. He could not score goals like them but he was a much more skilful footballer. Genius.
